I used to have a CPU desktop and it was a mess! So i switched to a laptop and that did not work out as i am using heavy softwares constantly. Too much for my poor laptop. So i need a large screen and something that suits me better for home professional use, something that doesnt take a lot of space! I came across All in one desktop, and this is my first model, my first try.
I like the fact that its fast enough for me to use heavy graphic softwares and do my design work. when i was using Corel Painter and by just using my stylus, i could sketch on the screen with no problem. But do not mistake it as a WACOM! this touch screen is more of a tablet touch screen, so better watch out where do you place your other fingers.
One time, a small fly landed on the screen and it was highly sensitive enough to detect the fly was there.

I purchased this computer due to its all-in-one feature.I had my concerns about the design.What if something broke?I’ve needed to replace CD players and fans.Then, I said, computers only last about five years anyway.So I bought it.
I love this computer.The speed is fine for my applications – which is surfing the web, MS Word, MS Excel with some small VBA applications.It’s perfect.
The screen is large at 23″ and is a very clear display.You can connect this to cable and watch t.v. and the picture is very clear.
I took this out of the box and plugged it in.It worked.I have a few external drives hooked up for back-up and there are several USB ports to use.There are two USB ports on the immediate side and another three behind a cover which you can take off to access the cable and video connections.
My last operating system was Windows XP and this system is Windows 7.I haven’t had any nightmares, yet.I’ve added my additional programs with no problem.My Office 2000 works with Windows 7, my Garmin Mapsource software works, CuteFTP, etc.I hooked up my Canon scanner with no problems.
I’m not a gamer so I cannot speak to that other than a few card games over the internet.
I really think this is a great computer and would recommend this computer as a replacement for the old modular systems – CPU/Case/Tower, Moniter, keyboard/mouse.This setup has a small footprint and the monitor rocks.
I purchased this to be a new family PC for the kids.HP has a good software package for the touchscreen, which is optional to use, but has some good applications to make the PC a central hub for activities.They also have links to free and/or paid gamies ect.They have their own media player, which works well enough…It does get a little old having itunes, windows media players (2!) and now an HP one.It would be better if you could integrate these, but the companies have their own reasons for not doing so.
I have not had any problems setting up the HP or using it.It has plenty of power for our needs.The single power cord (like a laptop) is a nice feature.Though heavy, it makes the unit portable when when need to move it out of its typical spot.(Much easier than if it were a traditional desktop).

1) Touchscreen.As a former employee of now defunct retail chain, I’ve played around with a couple of this desktop’s predecessors.They were fun for a while but not practical because the operating system and desktop icons weren’t quite made to make full use of a touchscreen.The same thing is true with windows 7 but HP’s TouchSmart software make it more intuitive to handle movies, music, and other features from a center that’s easier to use with a touchscreen than a mouse… think of a 23 inch iPad.
2) Space.Lots of it.LOOOOTS of it. And I don’t just mean the 1 Terabyte hard drive.I also mean the fantastic amount of space on my desk because I don’t need a tower.The tower and monitor are the same thing; it means I get to fill it up with tons more unnecessary junk.
3) Software package.There is enough productivity software installed (and online) to make sure that the average consumer will be more than functional.Also, the installed Norton Anti-virus is comprehensive without being intrusive so I don’t notice any slowness in system operation while I operate it.

I finally ordered and received my new HP Touchsmart computer.It is fast and easy to use.It has lots of nice features and looks really nice too.It was very simple to set up and I was able to transfer all my music and pictures easily.The speakers are very nice and I would be satisfied with them, but I have BOSE speakers that I used on my previous computer so I installed them.My music is now spectacular.I highly recommend this computer.
have had this pc for over 5 year and love it, still works great!! The only issue i ever had is that after a year or so it needs a reboot even if you have a antivirus.
There is not a whole lot to say. I love this computer. My daughter is 6 and she LOVES the touch screen. When I pulled it out of the box it was ALOT bigger than I expected but I love it!!! Runs great, set was really easy. Just AWESOME!!!!
I bought the Athlon quad-processor version (610-1032f) w/ standard DVD for my 83+ yr old mother as her first computer. I come in remotely from 1000 miles away to tweak settings and ensure that updates are smooth; a script emails me the machine's IP after a reboot because it is dynamic. She hasn't typed in years and has rarely used a mouse in the library. She likes this touchscreen because it is intuitive to navigate and responsive. I have her setup with Eldy software under Linux to avoid viruses. She merely taps Skype to video chat to grandchildren across North America, taps her favorite Web sites, or plays DVDs. Sound is excellent. The 1080p LED screen is gorgeous, is so bright that reflections off the gloss screen (I *hate* glossy screens) are generally not distracting, is reasonably well calibrated out of the box, and has wide view-angle. The wireless keyboard is nice although she usually just taps the on-screen one. The built-in video camera tilts and is adequate for Skype although if this PC is used correctly, you are a foot away looking and tapping down on an almost horizontal screen like a giant iPad. That orientation also takes up more room on the table. The built-in microphone is surprisingly good.
Grand-kids like this too, although I think that 23" is too big even for adult hand gestures and is overwhelming when you are a foot away. Scrolling, tapping, moving, resizing work well. Zoom/dezoom is trickier. There wasn't much bloatware from HP when I set it up initially under Windows and the HP touch driver was responsive and easily customized. Fedora and Ubuntu auto-configured all the hardware and touch works fine under KDE.

I bought a refurbished model of this computer almost a year ago, and I love it. It is a very fine computer. The 23" screen is fabulous. I hardly ever bother using the touch screen feature because the keyboard and everything else about this computer works so well. The sound is awesome and the picture quality is very good also. It boots up quickly and in general does everything I want it to do. It was also very reasonably priced. Really, I can't think of anything negative to say about this computer so far. 5 stars.
I just got this computer. Just love the screen!. Great quality. HP direct sells it for 700, plus tax. Almost wireless, no chords! It is not an ultra fast machine. I went from a P4 @3.0 Ghz to this i3 @3.2. It is quicker, the extra core helps when doing two things at once.
I started having problems with this computer in the first week of light use. The pc was just used to watch movies and go on fb. After it was done being used I would always shut it down or put it to sleep. I had problems with the graphics in the 1st week. Then the next problem would be the issue with the pc going into sleep mode and waking up. I had to force shut down it a couple times. Then the graphic card would cause the pc to make the whole screen go into a wavy static mode where everything constantly shakes which makes it hard to read and see without eye strain. I called hp to get a refund but they will no refund this their product. And it has only been less than two months of ownership. I got the case escalated to a case manager but that doesn't help since the case manager didn't seem to care about my issue. Horrible customer service. All i wanted was a refund and I didn't receive it. He promised to make sure the process of my pc being fix would go by fast. but it turned out that it took longer than 11 days. So he wanted to ship me a replacement. I still wanted my refund but since he won't give it to me i decided to get a desktop pc instead because the quality of THIS touchsmart and possibly other touchsmart is very very bad. Dont buy this model FOR SURE!!!!
