Pros: 1. It's in decent shape, and it's a nice machine. I ordered a "very good" refurb, and I think it pretty much meets that standard. It's white, so it clearly shows use, but everything's fine otherwise. 2. The keyboard is responsive and laid out well, which can be hard to find in smaller laptops and Chromebooks. 3. The screen is bright and easy to read.
Cons: 1. The version of Chrome OS I got is no longer supported, which apparently means that you can't download almost anything. On my newer Chromebook, I have Google Play, and I'm able to download most of the same apps I have on my Galaxy S9 phone. On this machine, though, basically everything I do has to be done through the Chrome browser, which - again - is fine for my current needs, but would pose an issue to anyone trying to do anything other than writing or maybe online shopping. 2. The trackpad is a tiny bit wonky. It works fine 90% of the time, but every now and then when I click on something it goes a little haywire. I think a wireless mouse should fix this. 3. It took a little finessing to get the charger in place. For a few minutes, even though it was plugged in, the machine was flipping between charging and not charging. In my case, I took out the charger and I just blew on the charging port, and that seemed to resolve the issue.
This computer arrived with multiple problems. 1. No charger was included as the description states in included items. 2. The top is very scratched. 3. The bottom looks like it caught on fire at some point. 4. It had just enough battery life for me to turn it on and see that there is a flickering line running down the length of the screen.
