When running more demanding programs or tasks, the processor can be boosted to achieve a speed of up to 2.8 GHz using Intel’s Turbo Boost technology.
The 12.5″ Slim eDP SVA display features an HD 1366 x 768 screen resolution, LED backlighting, a 16:9 aspect ratio, and an anti-glare finish.
You can output video to an external display using the built-in DisplayPort and VGA port at resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 @ 60 Hz. Using the optional UltraSlim Docking Station, up to three displays are supported.
For storage of your files, this system comes with a 256GB M.2 SSD. While this SSD may not have the larger capacity of a traditional spinning hard drive, it is able to operate with faster data transfer speeds because it contains no moving parts.
Additionally, its lack of moving parts also helps it to be more resistant to damage from bumps and drops. SSDs also receive less wear and tear because the drive has no read and write heads that the disk media comes into contact with.
If you want to add external storage, optical drives, mice, keyboards, printers, memory card readers, and more, the EliteBook 820 G3 offers two USB 3.0 Type-A ports and one USB 3.0 Type-C port, with one of the Type-A ports serving as a charging port.
Built-in speakers, microphones, and a 720p webcam let you participate in video calls for work or with friends and family. Connect to the Internet via 802.11ac Wi-Fi or Gigabit Ethernet LAN for a more stable and reliable connection. Furthermore, you can connect additional peripherals and devices using Bluetooth 4.2. For the price I paid I am pretty content. I have had for about 4 months, the only problem I had was with the Windows 10 operating system specific. The most up side is extremely fast boot to password entry screen (faster than switching an off ipad version 2 to on - thanks to solid state drive) compared to my old hard disk drive laptop . The most down side is hissing sound that comes from the fan for cooling when the room is very silent. (I read there are water cooled laptops which are the most silent, which are more expensive, which I don't have experience at all.)

I love this device and so far I have not found a better price for this model (refurbished) anywhere. I went and bought the power keyboard and now I have a device that I can enjoy for years to come. I will upgrade the memory and the hard drive myself so that I can save even more. This was original advertised with a strange CPU but turned out with i3. It came with Windows 8 and strangely enoughalso came with a restore DVD which you don't see that much anymore. I was able to upgrade to Windows 10 with only one device driver not coming thru properly but the HP program that comes pre-installed updated it without a problem. Picks up WIFI just fine and it's speed is good (because of the SSD) so it works just fine for me. This came packed in all of it's original packaging so I think this was a demo model and not refurbished. This is heavier than a Microsoft tablet so it would be hard to compare the two, however this does have features that the Microsoft devices does not.
