OK, here is a no BS review of the product. I bought it March 2017 so this is probably the latest review so read it. I am an IT professional so I was looking for a windows tablet that will let me use it to run software and take meeting notes. I didn't want to carry around a laptop. I used to have a Galaxy Tab2 but that was not really suited for what i needed professionally.
I originally was going to buy a MS Surface pro 4. But the cost was astronomical. Then i started looking at other windows tablets and came across this one. I did a side by side comparison and this is what i saw:

I didn't factor in CPU speed because they used similar cpu's. As you see above the Surface Pro would have cost me about $1600.00 where as the Lenovo Miix 700 only cost me about $650.00. Almost 1/3 the cost. And the functionality and performance are the same. And the Miix 700 has 2 USB ports which is really handy when you are charging the tablet and want to attach a drive or other peripheral.
CONCERNS OF OTHER REVIEWS:
You will see in other reviews people are not impressed with a few things. It seems that they all bought theirs when it first came out. I am buying it a year after it came out and it seems Lenovo addressed the issues. The tablet is pretty solid now.
Track pad screwing up typing: This is not a problem with the track pad. this is a problem with the way people type. They are dropping their thumbs while typing and getting close to or tapping the track pad. Not an issue.
Battery Life: I have been running my tablet all day and the battery life is 7-11 hours depending on use. What do you expect? Even laptop batteries run around that long before running out. Not an issue. And it charges up fast.
Pen not included: Oh yes it is. I bought an extra one because i thought it wasn't included. I am mulling on returning it or just keeping it as a spare
Reflective Screen: Well yea, it is a glass screen. All screens are glass. Glass is reflective. You are going to put on a screen protector anyway. Get a non-reflective one. Non issue.
Color: Mine came black. It could have come gold. I really don't care I am not making a fashion statement. I just want a functional tablet.
NOW FOR MY REVIEW
As i stated the 2 usb ports and low price make it a no brainer over the SP4. The issues above have probably been addressed by lenovo. I bought a usb dvd drive and loaded MS Office Pro 2013, Adobe CS5 Suite (photoshop, dreamweaver...etc.), other software i use for business, Unreal tournament (the original - I love it). All software runs as well as any laptop or desktop. If you are looking to do video editing get a grip. That's not what a tablet is for. You need a desktop for that. So don't even comment on that.
I installed firefox because IE and MS Edge are pieces of crap. But this tablet runs all of the software a normal laptop or desktop will run with no problems at all. Plus the added bonus of having a pen for meetings or drawing make this the tablet i have been looking for.
I am a mouse user and am really not into the track pad so i bought a bluetooth mouse for 20 bucks. Works great and if you want there is a button on the keyboard to disable the track pad. Nice touch.
It does have a micro sd card slot which is really nice. I popped a 128g card in there and that is where i keep all of my files and music and videos. that way if anything should happen to the tablet (dropped, meteor strike, zombie apocalypse..etc.) i can take the card out and save my files. I will buy a 256G one to hold more videos when the price of them come down.
It does not have a sim card slot for connecting to your phone network. But who the hell cares? I just enable the hot spot on my phone and connect to the internet through that. Why the hell would i want to pay another 20-40 bucks to the phone company? I was streaming videos from my personal cloud at home as well as surfing the internet with no problems at all. This is a non issue.
Final opinion: you cant go wrong with this. You get a tablet that functions as a tablet and a laptop for a great price. Go 4 it.
So, I have a Surface Pro 4 and use it daily.I love it!But, I needed tablets for a few of my field guys for forms and maps and the like.Since I can't find Suface 3 tablets anymore, I decided the try the Miix.I ordered three to start.The first one that I opened wouldn't boot.Tried everything and even called "Tech support" (if you want to call it that).Ended up sending it back for a full refund.The other two booted up perfectly fine and after running all of the windows updates, I was pleasantly surprised.
Pro's: - I know this doesn't matter, but it is a pretty machine. - The hinge is a beauty AND works so smoothly.Great job there. - I wouldn't say it's as fast as my Surface Pro 4, but it's definitely close. - The screen is very bright and the color depth and resolution are top notch - Comes with Pen and Keyboard!
Cons: - While attaching it to my domain, it seems a bit slow from a networking performance standpoint.I used both wireless and a Plugable USB 3 network dongle and both were noticeably slower.However, once the network applications are loaded, there was no lag.It's weird and hard to describe. - As you'll see in other reviews, people complain about the trackpad and I'm not different.One of the machines is perfect.The other has a really sensitive trackpad.I've played with the settings to no avail.It's super sensitive to move, but lacking sensitivity to the touch.So, you can swipe your finger and not get a reaction once, then the next time it flies so fast, you lose your curser.
All in all, I'm very surprised and happy with this Tablet device.I've ordered one with additional memory and drive space, so we'll see if anything changes there.I'll update this review over time as these devices get used in the real-world.

I bought this computer after dealing with two computers from hell, pretty much. I've only had it for about two months but it has been great for me so far. I use my computer for scholarly work (writing essays, internet research, etc.) and a bit of personal leisure (occasional video streaming, a bit of gaming, and social media). This computer works perfectly for those things. Having too many apps open can cause it to get kind of hot, but keep in mind that this computer runs on EMMC and is mainly a tablet. Don't buy it if you use your computer heavily or upwards of 7 hours a day, I'd say.
The only issue I have had with it was likely one I created myself which required me to reinstall the entire operating system, formatting my computer. This happened the second day I had it, however, so I didn't lose much of anything and, again, I probably created this problem myself by tweaking with settings. To avoid any such problem, update it to the most recent operating system as soon as you're able to reach that option. Continue to refresh until you make sure there are no more updates. That has literally been my only issue and this is possibly the only computer I've had that hasn't given me a problem within the first month of having it. I love the detachable keyboard, making it fit into smaller spaces and, even though it says it doesn't, it comes with a pen! This makes having no keyboard so much easier. I am completely in love with my computer and would recommend it to anyone who needs a relatively affordable and durable computer.
